Curiosity develops, interest in creativity is formed.

How older child, the more complex schemes for creating a tulip are available to him: they turn out to be already voluminous, with opened buds. A simple scheme for a baby from 2 years old will allow him to do a beautiful craft and give mom a reason to be proud.

In this article, we will consider simple origami product patterns for beginners, but they will be enough for you to get seriously carried away by this creativity.

Paper crafts are one of the most beloved in kindergartens and schools. After all, paper is a very simple, affordable and obedient material, which is easy, useful and very interesting to work with for both children and adults. Especially when it comes to origami.

And if your child, looking at night, admits to you that tomorrow morning he needs to bring crafts, then there is nothing easier and better than making origami out of paper. And we will be happy to share ideas and diagrams of future products with you in this article.

What you need to create paper origami for beginners

To practice origami, all you need is your hands and a piece of paper. However, if you are planning to develop deeper in this direction of creativity, we would advise you to acquire a few more useful tools for the job.

What materials and tools are needed for origami classes

  • Glue - it is most convenient to work with PVA or glue stick. Although glue is rarely used in origami, it will help you attach eyes, nose and other decorative elements to your craft, as well as give strength to a product that you are preparing for an exhibition, for example. Sometimes experienced craftsmen resort to the help of aerosol glue - it allows you to fasten two sheets of paper together over the entire area, while creating interesting combinations of color and texture.
  • Paints. With their help, you can work with plain white paper, and then paint ready product to your liking. Most often, paints are used in spray cans. Be very careful with watercolor! Remember that excess water can permanently ruin your paper work.
  • Scissors - it is best to have a few scissors that are not too stiff with sharp blades different lengths. Small parts It is most convenient to cut with nail scissors. However, when doing paper origami for beginners, this is not so important. Because you don't have to cut.
  • A stationery knife is well sharpened, in some cases it will successfully replace scissors for you.
  • A sharp simple pencil - for barely noticeable markings on paper and twisting details.
  • Ruler, triangle, compass, protractor - for precise work and symmetry.

What paper to choose for origami crafts

The main requirement for origami paper is its strength. If during the work the material is torn, you will quickly get bored with this activity. In addition, the paper must hold the fold well so that the craft has details and is recognizable.

Otherwise, when choosing the main material, rely on your taste and personal preferences. And there are a lot of options:

  • Office paper - white or colored - is a great option for origami. It is durable, non-slippery, evenly colored and holds its shape well.
  • Children's colored paper- most importantly, check its quality in advance and make sure that certain colors of paper in the set are enough for your craft.
  • Corrugated paper is very plastic and durable, it is great for creating origami flowers.
  • Wrapping paper will also be a good option for the job. It is bright, beautiful and durable. The main thing is to choose a matte rather than a glossy surface to make it easier to work.
  • Specialized paper. It can be found in craft stores. For example, kami is paper specifically for origami classes, it has various colors, patterns and for convenience, as a rule, already cut into the required shape. Other Japanese paper- wash. This is very soft material handmade. This softness is preserved in crafts, so that they look very unusual and not angular.

While creating simple crafts Paper origami for beginners is better to use thick paper. But for modular origami the ideal option would be a thin but durable material that will allow you to bend several layers of paper at once and chop individual parts together.
