Today we will make a New Year's house out of felt for a Christmas tree with our own hands, a master class on how to make it is very accessible and easy to follow, so you can do it together with your children. With such a beautiful souvenir you can decorate your forest or artificial beauty in an original way.
To make a felt Christmas tree house you will need:
- brown, burgundy, yellow and white felt;
- burgundy satin ribbon;
- red half beads;
- rhinestones or other decor;
- brown embroidery threads;
- needle;
- glue with glitter;
- padding polyester;
- scissors;
- chalk;
- ruler;
- glue gun.
How to make a New Year's house out of felt for a Christmas tree with your own hands
The first thing we need to make a felt Christmas tree house with our own hands is a pattern, with which we need to cut out the felt parts for the house. But you can also use a ruler if you have a good eye. With chalk we draw two squares measuring 8x10 cm on brown material, two isosceles triangles with a base of 14 cm and two sides of 8 cm each on burgundy fabric, and we also draw two squares measuring 3x3 cm on yellow. 
Place two brown squares together so that the edges match. We sew only three sides with a “forward needle” seam, leaving the fourth 10 cm long free. We make the seams evenly with a length of 0.5 cm, retreating the same amount from the edge. 
Fill the middle with padding polyester. 
On the upper corner of one of the triangles we glue both ends of the tape folded in half. 
We cover with the second triangle and sew both parts with brown threads and the same seam only on two equal sides, that is, we leave the base free.
By the way, next to the house, which is described in this master class, you can hang it. It will look festive and original. 
We fill a triangular blank for the roof of a New Year's house made of felt with padding polyester, and glue both layers of brown felt along the edge. In both parts of the padding polyester you need very little, since you just need to give the product a shape. 
Now let's assemble the felt house into one whole. Apply glue to the fastened edge of the brown square and insert it through the base of the triangle between its layers. The edges of the triangle should be the same length on both sides. Then we sew both parts along the edge.
We make rounded corners for the yellow squares and glue them onto brown felt, placing them like windows in a house. 
All that remains is to decorate the New Year's felt house on the Christmas tree with various decor. You can use white felt to make snow on the roof and snowdrifts. To do this, simply cut out a rectangular strip 2 cm wide and of arbitrary length, and from this strip we cut out various patterns with rounded edges in the form of snowdrifts. From one such strip you will get two blanks. We glue them on both sides of the roof and on the base of the house on the even sides.
Additionally, we decorate the house with half beads and rhinestones. We divide the yellow squares into four sectors using glitter glue.

Today I will share with you my creativity and felt works. I really love this material. It is incredibly easy to sew and the edges do not fray, so it is an excellent option for making various types of toys. Since I have two girls, I couldn’t get around the topic of dolls. Now on the Internet you can find photographs of felt educational dollhouses that mothers sew with their own hands for their children. Well, I thought, what the hell, I need to sew one for my daughters. And this is what happened...
Not to say that it was difficult to make such a toy; most of my time was spent coming up with the design and cutting out patterns. Everything else went together in one go.
The advantage of a felt dollhouse is not only high-quality performance, practicality and beauty, but also convenience. It is convenient to take the book with you on a visit, on the road or to the country house. It is quite compact and roomy. All parts and small things are stored inside, so nothing will get lost.
In addition, felt is easy to care for. It can even be washed, but by hand and at low temperatures. I had a case where a little girl spilled juice on a book. Then I soaked it in warm water and laundry soap. I waited about fifteen minutes and rinsed it with water. Then she wrapped it in a terry towel and pressed it a little. The excess water was squeezed out, and the product became slightly damp. Then she put it on the windowsill to dry.
The material remained the same, did not wrinkle, did not deteriorate, there were no pills or abrasions. The felt dollhouse has not faded and remains just as bright. How to sew a dollhouse from felt with your own hands
And so, you decided to please your daughter with a dollhouse. To do this, draw in your head and on a piece of paper what you plan to sew. Pay great attention to detail. The beauty of the book will depend on them.

Draw a full size felt book. When the most important part of making the toy is ready, you can cut out the patterns. I usually do this directly from a paper sample. But at the same time, each page must be drawn on a separate sheet, otherwise the back of the image and the future pattern will be hopelessly damaged.
If you have a set of felt available, then you can skip the next step, but if you don’t, then count how many sheets of felt and what color you will need. It can also be purchased individually or in sets.
Stock up on beautiful sewing accessories. This must include Velcro (double tape), buttons, lace, and ribbons. This could be sequins, clasps, hooks, buttons, and so on.
All that remains is to prepare and cut out all the parts directly from felt and sew them to each other. It is advisable to sew large parts using a machine, but small ones can be sewn manually. Finally, assemble sheets from the pages, and a book from the sheets.

The pages turned out very colorful and bright. They have a bathtub, shower, shelf, and washing trough.
There is a towel on a hook, you can put a doll in the bathtub, there are additional parts such as washing powders, soap and shampoo.
As you can see, the felt dollhouse is made in a fairy-tale style, and the plot is taken from a fairy tale. I think it turned out great! And you?

Of course, this is a toy for growth... after all, when I sewed it, my daughter was only a few months old, and now she is a year old and I no longer have so much time and opportunity to sew. My daughter runs around and requires a lot of attention. Maybe some of you will like this idea. As a child, I simply dreamed of something like this, and now, many years later, with the birth of my daughter, I made my dream come true. More than one day I collected ideas for creating it on the Internet... looked through a sea of information... selected fabric and felt...
I will say that most of the ideas are not mine, but were found on the Internet. But they were reworked and my own inventions were added. Design, color combination are mine) THANK YOU TO ALL THE CREATIVE GIRLS WHO WERE SO INSPIRING!!! And to all the masters who share their experience and masterclasses!
Do you remember how, when we were children, many of us played with paper dolls... cut out clothes for them? Now there are many new decorative materials, beautiful felt, decorative buttons, etc. But then we were so happy with such simple dolls... I decided to make such a doll not from paper, but from felt and got the idea to sew a dollhouse-handbag and put a little girl-doll there... and so that she would have everything... both a bedroom and a kitchenette and a huge dressing room and living room... And it turned out to be a wonderful and very large book-sized house with 4 spreads, which can be packed into a convenient handbag. I understand that I won’t do something like this again. It took 2 months of painstaking manual work... I put a huge amount of love and my whole soul into it.
It has: a bedroom, a bathroom, a kitchen, a dressing room, but since it has a very interesting design, these spreads are double-sided and on the other side there is: a playground, a garden, a farm and a vegetable garden!!! I even lost count of how many removable parts there are... Just a lot! For example, animals on a farm have Velcro and are attached to velcro fabric... you can change them in places. Vegetables in the garden are also on Velcro or snaps... there is a watering can! In the kitchen, all the dishes are also removable. In the garden you can plant flowers and move them around... The doll has clothes that you can wear... real ones and several pairs of shoes. I initially thought of making the clothes with Velcro... on the principle of those same paper dolls, but in the process it turned out that I was not looking for easy ways - all the outfits had fasteners at the back! There is a crib and a lot of things. Even, sorry, your own toilet)))) In the living room window you can change from day to night... There are two pets - a cat and a dog - they, of course, can also be removed and rearranged anywhere in the house and its surroundings))) This is not just a toy, but a development tool , since the child can play role-playing games, develop fine motor skills, learn to fasten, for example, buttons and Velcro. You will see for yourself. In the garden you can plant vegetables in pockets or, on the contrary, put them in a basket... on the farm you take care of animals, and on the playground you can play...
I especially liked the idea of a tiled roof, where each tile is sewn separately from scraps. To make it, I asked permission from the craftswoman from whom I borrowed it and it took a week to complete the roof! So watch... and don't judge harshly!
